As an atheist,I think Joel (Osteen) is quite inspirational.Modern "Christians"hate him because they seem to be addicted to the gospel(good news?)

What exactly is a “friendly atheist”?
In my own experience, nearly every atheist I’ve met has been a “friendly atheist.” We’re everywhere. This is, sadly, a well-kept secret. By talking about the definition, as well as showcasing examples of friendly atheism as they occur, perhaps the public image of atheists can be reshaped.
Regardless of what one thinks of Osteen’s style, his policy of keeping his pulpit free of politics is praiseworthy.

I enjoy watching Joel for the same reason many Christians don’t watch him– it’s Christian-lite! He’s not solely dependent on the Bible to make a point. Instead of using the Bible to write a sermon, it always seems to me that he wrote the sermon with a life lesson in mind, and then consulted the Bible to back up his points. And I walk away from watching him thinking, “I do need to make better use of my time!”
